CHS Member RatesTrain FaresMay 23 – October 12(Fares are round-trip)
Colorado Historical Society Member Rates are only available when you make a telephone reservation. In order to receive your discount, please call 1-888-456-6777, identify yourself as a CHS member, and have your Membership Card with you. Member Rates are good for two adults and children or grandchildren under the age of 18. Your Membership Card must also be presented when picking up your tickets at the depot. Please note reservations are for a specific date and departure. Please allow sufficient driving time. Like any ticketed event, all sales are final and no refunds are offered. Colorado weather is unpredictable and the railroad operates open cars, rain or shine. Be prepared, as no refunds or rainchecks are offered for inclement weather. If you have Free Passes issued by CHS, reservations are required. Please call 1-888-456-6777 to book your trip date and time. Your Passes must be presented, along with a valid CHS Membership Card, when you pick up your tickets at the depot. Ticket agents are not able to issue tickets unless the passes are surrendered. Please do not forget to bring them. Please pick up tickets 30 minutes before departure The train ride is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. The optional mine tour is offered daily from May 24 to September 1, 2008 and adds another 1 hour and 15 minutes to your train trip. The mine tour is not recommended for young children who cannot walk the entire distance on their own, anyone who is mobility impaired in any way, or those who might have a problem at 9,000 feet in elevation. Strollers and wheelchairs are not permitted. Mine tours are not available on the last train departure of the day.
